Created by James Gunn, Peacemaker is an American superhero series which is based on the DC comics character of the same name. It is the first DC Extended Universe (DCEU) television series and a spin-off from the 2021 film The Suicide Squad.
The series is backed by the Safran Company and Troll Court Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television whereas Gun has served as the showrunner. He also directed the first 5 episodes along with Jody Hill, Rosemary Rodriguez and Brad Anderson, who each directed one.
Peacemaker OTT Release Date in India
The series has already been released in the USA on HBO Max. It premiered its first 3 episodes on the platform on January 13, 2022 and the rest of 5 episodes were released weekly until February 17, 2022. Each of the episodes received higher viewership than the previous one, with the season finale breaking the record of highest single day viewership of an HBO Max original episode.
Ever since the show premiered on HBO Max, the fans in India were also demanding its premiere in the country too. So, here is the good news for all superhero-content lovers in India that Series’ creator Gunn has finally announced its premiere date in India.

The series stars American actor and professional wrestler John Cena in the lead role as Christopher Smith a.k.a. Peacemaker, a jingoistic killer who believes in achieving peace at any cost.
Along with him, it also features Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase a.k.a. Vigilante, Chukwudi Iwuji as Clemson Murn, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Steve Agee as John Economos, Robert Patricks White Dragon. Additionally, it stars Annie Chang, Locklyn Munro, Elizabeth Ludlow, Rizwan Manji, Nhut Le and Christopher Heyerdahl.
About the Series
The series follows the after events of The Suicide Squad and further explore jingoistic killer Christopher Smith/ Peacemaker. After recovering from the injuries he suffered during the events of the film, Peacemaker is forced to join the mysterious A.R.G.U.S. black ops squad named Project Butterfly. They are on mission to identify and eliminate parasitic butterfly-like creatures who have taken over human bodies around the world.
