Persuasion is an upcoming American film that is based on English novelist Jane Austen’s sixth and final novel of the same name, published six month after her death by John Murray in 1817. There is an insatiable demand for Austen adaptations as earlier his novels Emma and “Pride and Prejudice” were also adopted for films of the same name released in 2020 and 2005 respectively.
Persuasion is directed by Carrie Cracknell and its screenplay is written by producer and screenwriter Ron Bass, who won an Academy Award for writing the screenplay for Barry Levinson’s film “Rain Main”. If we talk about technical work. Andrew Lazar and Christina Weiss Lurie are producing the film under the banner of MRC. On the technical work, Joe Anderson is serving as the director of photography.

Persuasion OTT Release Date
The shooting of the film was started in May 2021, a month after Dakota Johnson was cast for the role. The makers of the movie have already released the released date of the film and now it is confirmed that the film will skip the theater release instead will be released on July 15, 2022, on OTT giant Netflix. About the Film
The plot of the film revolves around Anne Elliot, an uncomforting woman with modern sensibilities who is living with her snobby family. It is the story of a second chance, the reawakening of love between Elliot and Captain Frederick Wentworth, the dashing one whom eight years earlier she had been persuaded not to marry. Anne must choose between putting the past behind her or listening to her heart when it comes to s second chance.
