India’s own streaming platform SonyLIV always comes up with something new for its viewers. Over the years the streamer has delivered content of different varieties including original shows, specials, miniseries, documentaries and films.
It has been delivering many bold and different content for its viewers for the last few years, its acclaimed original series includes comedy web series Gullak, financial thriller Scam 1992, crime thriller Undekhi, drama series Maharani, Rocket Boys and many others.
Now the streamer is all set be back with another series titled Pet Puraan, which a Marathi light- hearted comedy drama web-series created, written and directed by Dnyanesh Zoting, who is best known for his writing, directing as well as acting work in his 2018 Marathi fantasy thriller titled Raakshas: The Monster. The series is bankrolled by Ranjit Gugle under the banner of HUGE Productions.
Pet Puraan OTT Release Date
SonyLIV has revealed the release date of its upcoming romantic comedy drama series Pet Puraan. Now it is confirmed that the series will have a directed-to-digital release on May 6, 2022 on the platform. Along with Marathi languages, it will also stream in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali languages.

Pet Puraan Star Cast
Actor Lalit Prabhakar is playing the male lead in the series, and is portraying the character named Atul. He is best known for playing his role as Aditya Desai on the popular Marathi daily soap Julun Yeti Reshimgathi.
Marathi actress Saie Tamhankar is playing the female lead opposite Lalit Prabhakar as Aditi. She in the past worked in many Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Malayalam movies. The actress has also played a crucial role in Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi starrer 2021 comedy drama film Mimi.

The trailer of this family comedy drama follows a happily married couple- Atul and Aditi. The only thing missing in their lives is a child and the modern-day couple do not wish to have kids. As it has been 3 years since they got married, the pressure for having a baby is increasing day by day from their respective families who are more traditional in approach.
Finally, they decide that instead of having a baby they will adopt a pet, but still both are not in agreement on which pet to adopt and so, they bring home two different pets- a cat named Baku and a dog named Renku, with no prior experience of being a pet parent. Being pets, Baku and Renku know how to create mischief while these pet parents have no idea how to handle them. Of course, chaos is going to ensue and it does.
