Choreographer, director, and actor Prabhu Deva starrer Poikkal Kuthirai is a Tamil action thriller emotional Drama that is going to be released in early 2022.
Prabhu Deva will be seen as a different character in the film and is ready to show his brilliant performance in the film, as we saw him in the first glimpse. Not only in Kollywood but Prabhu Deva also gave many hit movies as a director in Bollywood.
He was praised for his directorial work in Wanted (2009), Rowdy Rathore (2012), R.. Rajkumar (2013) and Singh is Bling (2015) but Salman Khan’s Radhey (2021) was a disaster.
If we take about his work in Bollywood, he also acted in Remo D’Souza dance films like ABCD: Any Body Can Dance (2013), ABCD 2 (2015), and Street Dancer 3D (2020).

With this action thriller Prabhu Deva is making his comeback in Tamil Cinema after a very long time. He shared the first look poster of the film in August 2021 from his social media handle and wrote Here is the First Look of “#PoikkalKuthirai, a gripping story of grit”. Releasing soon on 5th of August 2022.

In the first look poster of the film, he was seen in an aggressive and dangerous look carrying a child on one hand and a large spanner in the other hand.
He is playing a differently-abled person who has a prosthetic leg. His blood-soaked look was enough to tell that this film is going to be a bag, full of action and emotions.

A 40-second long teaser of this action thriller has been released today on Jan 14, 2022. It looked so promising and the acting and expressions of Prabhu Deva are creating magic.
He was seen in a prosthetic leg, who is saving his daughter despite the physical disability. Will he be able to save his daughter ?? You have to wait for the answer till the release of the film.
Makers of the film have not announced the release date. It probably will have a direct OTT release, due to the continuous rise in Covid Cases in India.

Poikkal Kuthirai is directed as well as written by Santhosh P. Jayakumar who made his directorial debut with 2015 Gaddam Gang.
He gained popularity from his directorial work in Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu (2017) and Hara Hara Mahadevaki (2018).
Poikkal Kuthirai is the 7th directorial project of Santhosh. The film is bankrolled by S. Vinod Kumar in association with Divo Music under the banners of Darkroom Pictures and Mini Studio.
Music in the movie is composed by D Imman while Cinematography and editing is done by Bally and Preethi Mohan, respectively.
Dance choreography is done by Sathish and Bhoopathy and stunts are performed by Denesh Kasi.
