The rom-com bilingual film Prince has finally been out in cinemas. It has created good hype among the audience and the advance reports and early reviews are all positive.
It stars Sivakarthikeyan and Ukrainian actress Maria Riaboshapka in the main lead roles and is directed by Jatni Ratnalu director Anudeep. Sivakarthikeyan is arriving at the silver screens after delivering two back-to-back 100 crore grossers.
And it is remained to be seen whether his latest will achieve the feat or not though if the positive reviews are to go by, the actor will mark the hat trick at the BO in terms of hits. Prince is out in the cinemas in Tamil and Telugu.

Box Office Collection Day 1
The film recorded good occupancy rates in both Tamil and Telugu, however, going by the early trade reports, Prince failed to surpass the day 1 of either previous release of the actor. It collected in the range of 5-6 crores nett on its first day at the box office in the domestic market.
On the other, Don had accumulated Rs 9.3 Cr and Doctor Rs 8.81 Cr on the opening day at the BO, domestic market. As per the BO tracker, Sacnilk.com, Prince had 29.85% overall occupancy in Tamil and 28.40% in Telugu. The flick showed huge growth during the night shows in occupancy in both versions.
Prince Advance Bookings and Screen Counts
Prince has clocked in over 2.5 cr from the advance bookings. It sold around1.5L tickets for the opening day, of which 2.2 Cr+ alone came from Tamil, and around 27L came in from Telugu.
It witnessed a wide release in Tamil and Telugu, it has occupied over 600 screens in the home market (Tn) and around 300 screens in the two Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana).

Prince Budget and Business
As per the Telugu reports, Prince is made with a budget of around 55 crores. And the theatrical rights of the flick have been sold at 40 crores in Tamil and Telugu (30 Crs in Tamil and 10 Crs in Telugu).
Therefore, it will have to recover over 31 crores shares from Tamil Nadu and around 11 crores distributor shares from the Telugu states to get itself the tag of a clean hit. On the other, it has already raked in 45 crores from non-theatrical rights e.g Digital, Satellite, and Audio rights.
