Drops by 5% on Sat
Prince clocked in 2.33 Cr from the advance ticket bookings for the second day which is around 10% less than its first-day bookings collections. It seems that negative word of mouth has come into play.
Prince opened to negative reviews from critics and got mixed responses from the audience. Now going by the early reports, it drops by around 5% in the collections on its second day which is rare in the case of a Friday release.
Box Office Collection day 2
As per the early trade estimations, Prince collects the 5.75-5.9 Cr nett range on day 2 to take the total collections of Prince over 12 crores nett, domestically. The total business of Prince has valued at Rs 30 crores in Tamil Nadu and a drop on its second day is not a good sign for the flick’s future.
The first weekend is very crucial for a film’s success at the box office and to emerge as a profitable venture for the distributors. Thereby a drop on the second day is very worrying. It needs to pick up very well on Sunday to take the first weekend total over 20 crores.
