“Prince” is an upcoming bilingual film starring Tamil star “Sivakarthikeyan”, it is simultaneously filmed in Tamil & Telugu and marks the full-fledged Tollywood debut of the actor.
He is arriving at the big screens after delivering back-to-back hits in the form of Doctor and Don, both films grossed over 100 crores at the box office. Prince is releasing on 21 October 2022 in Tamil and Telugu.

Prince Advance Bookings
The advance bookings for the rom-com were recently opened, and as of Thu noon, it clocked in 2 Cr from the ticket sales for the opening day. It sold upwards of 1.1L overall tickets out of which over 1L tickets worth 1.8Cr+ in Tamil and over 8k tickets worth 16L have been sold in Telugu, so far. With half day more to go, it is expected to bring in Rs 2.5-3 Crs from the advance bookings for day 1.
Prince Budget, Business and Screen Counts
The romantic comedy is said to be made with a budget of 50-60 crores. And if the south trade circle reports are to be believed, the non-theatrical rights (Audio, OTT and Satellite rights) of the flick have been sold at Rs 45 Cr alone.
The Tamil Nadu rights of Prince have been sold at 30 crores and the Telugu rights at Rs 10 crores. It will be released on over 900 screens in Tamil and Telugu, of which 600+ screens in Tamil and 300 in Telugu.

Prince needs to recover over 30 crores shares from Tn and 10 Cr distributor shares from Telugu to emerge as a commercial success. It has managed to create a good buzz ahead of the release through its trailer, the actor’s growing popularity in Tamil and Telugu, and his hit track record will definitely pull the crowds to the cinema halls at least for the first few days.
Going by the advanced trends, it is estimated to touch the double-digit on the first day at the domestic box office. It will collect upwards of 8 Cr in Tamil and over 2 crores from Telugu. It will be facing a clash with another much-hyped spy thriller Sardar starring Karthi in the home market.

Prince is certified with clean-U by the censor board, the runtime is 143mins or 2hr 23mins. The first-day first show will begin as early as 5 AM on Oct 21st. Prince stars Sivakarthikeya and Maria Ryboshapka in the main lead roles. It has music scored by Thaman.
Talking about the clash with Prince, Karthi wished Shiva Karthikeyan’s Prince and said that it is going to be Prince and Sardar this Diwali, not Prince Vs Sardar. Going by this, it is going to be a healthy BO battle between the two Diwali releases.
