The box office collections of Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj are not up to the mark, the film was opened with a mixed to negative response from the critics.
The film hasn’t been able to hit the half-century yet while Kartik’s Bhool Bhullaiyaa 2 which is a smaller film in terms of costs, had collected over Rs 55 crores in the first three days.
Box Office Collection Day 5
Now going by the early reports, the free fall of the film at the box office continues on Tuesday also. As the reports suggest, that the morning shows were canceled owing to the zero audiences for the second day straight, it is also said that it got single-digit occupancy in the morning, where the shows didn’t cancel.
Prithivraj accumulated Rs 4.25 Cr on the first Tuesday (Day 5) making the total collections Rs 49.65 Cr. So, it seems Akki’s film will have to wait for yet another day to cross the Rs 50 Cr mark.
The lifetime collections of the film would be around Rs 75 Cr mark, which means it will be a huge loss for Yash Raj considering Prithviraj is a big budget film.

Box Office Collection (Weekend 1)
Prithviraj, on Day 1, collects a limited figure of Rs 10.70 Cr and further showed marginal growth of 17.76% on Saturday, it accumulated Rs 12.60 Cr. The film saw a little improvement on Sunday and collected Rs 16.10 Cr.
The total first-weekend collection of the film stands at Rs 39.4 Cr. It is facing tough competition from BB2 which is currently in its third-week dream run.
On the first Monday, Prithviraj churned out only Rs 5 Cr showing a huge drop of 50% as compared to the Friday collection. The total figures for the film now stand at Rs 44.40 Cr.
