“Ponniyin Selvan: 1” is now inching closer to becoming the second-highest Tamil film of all time, the worldwide collection of the movie currently stands at over Rs 421 crores+ at the box office.
At present, the number 2 position is graced by Ulganaygan’s Vikram with Rs 426 crores worldwide, in the list of highest-grossing movies in Tamil. It is a mid-2022 release and had taken the box office by storm.

PS1 Crosses $6M in USA
Recently, makers, Lyca Productions taking to social media confirmed that PS1 has grossed 400 Cr+ milestones at the box office, worldwide. And the latest is that the multi-starrer has crossed the $6M mark at the box office USA. Industry tracker, Ramesh Bala informed this via a tweet, check out below:

PS1 Eying To beat Vikram in TN
Most of the earnings of PS1 came from the home market TN, the flick is to emerge as the all-time highest-grossing film in Tamil Nadu. It has toppled the Baahubali 2 and Vishwasam from the second and third position respectively.
Now, PS1 needs around Rs 6Cr+ to beat Vikram’s biz (Rs 190 Cr+) in TN to become the highest-grossing film ever, there. So far it has collected over 183.5 crores+ at the box office in TN. Going by the performance of the movie, it is also being estimated, that the flick could gross the 200 crores mark in the home market to become the only movie ever to do it.

Box Office Collection Day 14
The multi-starrer has clocked in 1.29 crores from the advance bookings for Day 14. It records over 76000 ticket sales on Thu from the advance bookings. Now, going by the advanced trends it will stay stable on Thu and Fri and will show a jump on Sat and Sun.
As per the trade estimations, it accumulates around Rs 3 Cr on Thu (Day 14) taking the total domestic collections of PS1 to over 230 crores nett.
