Ponniyin Selvan:1 or PS1 is nearing to complete its third week and the visual spectacle is still not in the mood of slowing down. It has crossed the 250 crore mark on its third Tuesday in the domestic market, all versions.
Talking about the box office worldwide, the next target of the flick will be to cross 500 crores. And will eye 530-550 crores gross before its OTT debut. It is a multi-starrer film directed and written by Mani Ratnam.

Crosses 250 Cr in India
PS1 recently toppled Vikram from the list of the highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time in Tamil Nadu. The top 5 grosser movies (all-time in TN) are PS1, Vikram, Valimai, Bahubali 2, and Viswasam. It recently fetch the 200 Cr mark in Tamil Nadu to become the first-ever flick to achieve this feat.
It is doing well across the country in all versions, the total collection of PS-1 currently stands at Rs 251 Cr** nett out of which 207 Cr came in from Tamil Nadu, 14.8 Cr from Telugu, 21.46 Cr from Hindi and 8 Cr nett came in from the Malayalam version.
It accumulated Rs 75.59 Lakhs from the advance bookings for its fourth Tuesday. And as per the early trade estimates, it collects Rs 1.2-1.5 Cr on Tue to take the total collections upwards of 251crores.

Talking about the overseas collections, PS-1 has become the all-time no.1 Tamil Movie at the box office in Germany. Trade analyst, Ramesh Bala confirmed the same, check out his tweet below:

It is directed and written by Mani Ratnam and backed by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies. It boasts of powerhouses Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Lekshmi, Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Trisha.
It has a few days of free run at the box office in Tamil Nadu until Karthi’s Sardar and Sivakarthikeyan’s Prince arrive on Oct 21. Karthi who has played a spy in PS1, his upcoming movie Sardar is an espionage thriller.
