Legendary director and six-time National Award winner Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus, Ponniyin Selvan 1, or PS1, is set to grace OTT after having the biggest and most successful theatrical release.
The Tamil epic historical drama film PS-1, based on writer activist Kalki Krishnamoorthy’s 1995 novel of the same name, was released on a large scale on September 30, 2022, and received a highly positive response from critics and the audience.
PS1 Hindi OTT Release Date
After making many new records at BO during its theatrical run, the film is ready for its OTT release. Post-theatrical OTT rights for the film have been acquired by one of the leading streaming platforms, Amazon Prime Videos. Now available on rent (199/- HD Print), Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, also in Hindi now from 11th of Nov.
As per recent reports, the platform has acquired the streaming rights of the film at a whopping price of Rs. 125 crores. The film is now on Prime on 4th November 2022 in Tamil along with dubbed Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam versions. The official digital premiere date has been announced ’26 Nov 2022′ but Hindi language viewers watched it by paying Rs 199/- till 26 Nov, now available for all.

About the Film
The film stars an ensemble cast including Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Karthi, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Rahman, R. Parthian, and Lal etc.
The film, called “Maniratnam’s Dream Project,” tells the fictional story of one of the greatest kings of India— Raja Raja Chola I during the 10th century. Mani Ratnam has also produced the film under his Madaras Talkies banner in association with Subaskaran Allirajah’s Lyca Productions.
