Tollywood action drama Pushpa: The Rise has made stylish star Allu Arjun a Pan India Star as the film is considered a blockbuster at the box office despite COVID-19 3rd wave and clashes.
In 23 days the film grossed Rs 326.6 cr (Rs 250.3 Cr India Nett) at the BO worldwide, with the distribution shares of Rs 176.6 Cr. Not only the Original version but this Telugu action drama, has shaken the box office in all other versions, in particular the Hindi version.
It minted Rs 80.48 crores (as of Jan 9, Sunday) in 23 Days at the box office North and still garnering a decent amount of footfalls at the cinema halls, despite Many theatres including major market Maharashtra, are running with half occupancy.
This proved that the Mass entertainer genre is still the king in India, the mass entertainers like Pushpa, Sooryavanshi, etc grossed big this year whereas films like Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, ’83 couldn’t manage to pull the audience at the ticket windows in mass numbers.

Talking about the film, it revolves around the smuggling of Red Sandalwood tree or Laal Chandan that only grows at the Seschachalam Hills, Andhra Pradesh. The film’s song and Allu’s performance as Pushpa Raj are being loved widely by the audience.
Pushpa is breaking many records day-by-day, recently, it broke the record of pan India star actor Yash starrer K.G.F: Chapter 1 (2018) at the BO North. It is now the 4th highest-grossing Hindi dubbed film after Baahubali2, Rajinikanth’s 2PointO, and Baahubali.

Pushpa was released in Theatres on 17 Dec 2021 and the post-theatrical digital rights of the film were acquired by the giant streaming platform Amazon Prime video and as per the deal, the film was streamed on the platform on 7 Jan 2022.
Pushpa was released on the platform in all four versions Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam & Kannada barring Hindi. As we discussed above that the Hindi version of the film is still garnering footfalls in the mass numbers, following this, the makers were not in the mood of showing it digitally soon but demand was high and locked for Sankranti.
