Directed and written by Sri Saripalli, Raja Vikramarka is a Telugu spy action thriller film which marks Saripalli’s debut as director. It was produced by 88 Rama Reddy under the banner of Sree Chitra Movie Makers.
The film was announced in October 2019 and the shooting was started in late 2019. However, it got delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic and in August 2021 the entire shoot was wrapped up.
Its title was taken from megastar Chiranjeevi’s 1990 classic, which itself was inspired by 1998 American film Coming to America and was directed by Raja Ravi Pinisetty.
Raja Vikramarka features young and promising actor Kartikeya Gummakonda in the titular role, an NIA agent while actress Tanya Ravichandran played his love interest Kanthi.
Along with the lead stars, the film also features P. Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Harsha Vardhan, Sudhakar Komakula, Pasupathy, Surya, Gemini Suresh and others.

The Sri Saripalli directorial was released theatrically on November 12, 2021 and has a decent opening. It received mixed response from public as well as critics and earned a gross collection of Rs. 1.2 crore on its opening day.
The lead actors received a lot of praise for their performance, especially the physical transformation of Kartikeya Gummakonda to play an NIA agent won all hearts.
Now, as the demand for Telugu films has been growing in the Hindi belt, there is good news for Hindi audiences that the makers of the film have decided to telecast the film in Hindi on television.

About the Film
The plot of the film revolves around Raja Vikramarkar, who is a newly-appointed officer at the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and is getting accustomed with the nuances of his job. He has to handle his first major case due to ironical circumstances and now he has to save the father of his love interest Kanthi and her father. Whether he manages to save both of them, is what the story is all about.
