Anand L Rai directorial “Raksha Bandhan” starring Akshay Kumar has been decent at the box office if compare to the same-day release Laal Singh Chaddha. Raksha Bandhan recorded a drop of 25% on Fri which is a normal drop but the start was low which resulted in overall low collections for the flick.
Raksha Bandhan is a family comedy-drama that revolves around Lala Kedarnath (portrayed by Akshay) and his four sisters. Anand along with directing also produced the film with Himanshu Sharma and Alka Hiranandani under the banner Zee Studios, Color Yellow Production and Cape of Good Films.

Box Office Collection Day 3
The total two days collection of the film stands at Rs 14.2 Cr. There was a 25% drop on the second day which is a normal drop and the film is expected to show an upward trend in the collections over the weekend. On the other Aamir’s big budget Laal Singh Chaddha faces a drop of 35% on Day 2 which is a big drop considering it had a low first day.
The talks are also mixed among the audience for Akshay starrer, however, it is remained to be seen how it performs on the first weekday which will make it clear whether it’ll have a long run in theatres or not. As per the trade reports, it collects Rs 7 Cr on Day 3 to take the total collections of the film to over Rs 20 Cr.

Box Office Report
It is the third release of Akshay Kumar this year, and so far, not a single film of his turned out to be a commercial success, Raksha Bandhan is the worst performer of the actor among the three if talk about the opening day collection.
It opens with mixed to the positive response from the critics but performed below par at the box office, the day 1 BOC of “Raksha Bandhan” stands at Rs 8 Cr. Prithiviraj had accumulated Rs 10.70 Cr and the Bachchan Paandey Rs 13.25 Cr. The latter is the 2nd-highest opening day grosser of 2022.
