Bollywood’s busiest star Akshay Kumar has recently seen in crime thriller Cuttputlli, on Disney+ Hotstar. And now all focus on anticipated mythological drama Ram Setu.
Abhishek Sharma directorial Ram Setu had started principal photography in March 2021 and in meantime, the shooting got delayed many times due to some cast & crew members testing covid positive.
In Nov 2021 the crew finished the Ooty (Tamil Nadu) schedule and after that, they had to go, shoot the underwater scenes but it couldn’t have been possible owing to the covid-19 pandemic.
Earlier in Jan 2022 reports suggested that Akshay Kumar is gone for the high octane underwater sequence in Daman & Dieu and later in Jan 2022, Khiladi Kumar confirmed that they have wrapped up the project.

Makers of Ram Setu
Ram Setu is creatively produced by Chandraprakash Dwivedi who is the director of period war drama film Samrat Prithviraj. The film is backed by late Aruna Bhatia and Vikram Malhotra under the banner of Cape of Good Films in association with Abundantia Entertainment, Amazon Prime Video, and Lyca Productions.
Star Cast of Ram Setu
With Amazon being one of the producers of the film, it marks their first Bollywood venture in India. The film stars Akshay Kumar in the main lead role, and Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha will be seen playing the counterpart lead actress to Akshay. Telugu actor Satyadev Kancharana will also be seen playing a pivotal role in the film.
Ram Setu Release Date
Aseem Mishra cranked the camera for the film, and the distributors are AA Films, Ram Setu is scheduled to hit the theatres during Diwali 2022 (25 Oct 2022).
Ram Setu is bankrolled by Cape of Good Films, who have been producing critically and commercially successful films for the past 6 yrs at the box office, such as Airlift, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Mission Mangal, PadMan, Chumbk, Rustom, Kesari, Good Newwz, Naam Shabana, etc.
Apart from the Ram Setu, the production house has two more anticipated films on the way with Akshay Soorarai Pottru Hindi remake and OMG2.
