Diwali release movies Ram Setu and Thank God failed to impress the audience despite featuring big stars like Akshay Kumar, and Ajay Devgn. Both films have become an affair of one week more.
A festival release that features big stars should have done a 100 crore business in its first week if not on the weekend. But it looks like Thank God will not even touch the 40 crore mark while Akki’s action adventure will see its run ending below 75 crore lifetime.

Box Office Collection Day 6
As per the early trade estimations, Ram Setu draws in double the amount than Thank God on Sun, Akki starrer has shown growth of 18-20%. With this, the total domestic collection of Ram Setu reaches over 56 crores. And Thank God reached the vicinity of the 30 crore nett mark in the domestic market. Ram Setu collected 7.75-8 Cr on Sunday whereas Thank God mints 4 crores, domestically.
From here, both the flicks will need to stay stable on the weekdays for a respectable lifetime. A 50-crore nett lifetime for Siddharth and 75 crore nett lifetime for Ram Setu will save both movies from becoming a bomb at the box office. However, it is close to impossible now.
Advance Bookings Report Day 6
Ajay Devgn’s film has clocked in 71.95 Lacs from the advance bookings for Day 6 (Sunday) while Akki’s film leads in the advances, it draws in 1.45 Cr from all versions in pre-sales for Sunday, so far.
Going by the advanced trends, it looks like growth in earnings is inevitable on Sunday at the box office for the biggies.
