South superstars Rana and Venkatesh Daggubati will soon be seen in the upcoming Netflix crime drama web series Rana Naidu.
Rana Dagggubati who rose to fame across India from the epic Baahubali film series will be the first time sharing screen space with his real-life uncle Venkatesh Daggubati who is also a big draw in the Tollywood industry.
Rana Naidu Story
The series is titled Rana Naidu and is said to be a remake of the popular American crime drama series Ray Donovan(2013), in which Ray the main character is seen as a fixer who arranges illegal activities like bribes, crime-scene clean-up, etc, and has wealthy clients. Things steered when his father releases from jail, and now they both are on the run from the police.

In the upcoming web series, Rana is playing a Mumbai fixer and uncle Venky in his father’s role who is an ex-con.
Other actors that are featured in the series are Sacred games fame Surveen Chawla, Abhishek Banerjee (TVF Pitchers, Mirzapur, Paatal Lok), Janu Tibrewal(Gal Ban Gayi), Saurav Khurana (Zayed Mirza), Abhishek Bhalerao (Inspector Malvade), and the Savdhan India host Sushant Singh.

Makers released the trailer of the series on Wed (Feb 15). The trailer depicts Rana Naidu as a problem solver for Bollywood celebrities. He gets the job done for celebs but can’t seem to solve his own after his father (Venkatesh) reenters his life.
Rana Naidu Netflix Release Date
Along with the trailer release, the streaming platform announced the streaming date of this much-awaited series. Rana Naidu will available in Hindi and Telugu on Netflix from 10 March 2023.

Rana Naidu is a crime-drama series, directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma, Karan also serves as the showrunner of the show. It is made under the banner Locomotive Global Inc. The filming wrapped up in May 2022.
Karmanya Ahula, Ananya Mody, and B.V.S Ravi serve as the head writer, Vaibhav Vishal wrote the dialogues, Karan Anshuman executive produced the series and the editing is done by Manan Mehta.
