South Indian diva Rashmika Mandanna is the budding star of Telugu cinema who has a huge fan base crazy for her beauty, charm and always smiling face. The actress recently made her Bollywood debut with the family entertainer film Goodbye alongside Big B- Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta.
The actress is rumoured to be dating her “Geetha Govindam” and “Dear Comrade” co-star Vijay Deverakonda. People love their chemistry on-screen as well as off-screen. The duo often rejected the claims of them dating each other.
Talking about Rashmika, the actress, earlier, dated Kannada actor-producer Rakshit Shetty, who is basking in the success of adventure comedy film 777 Charlie, a film that has touched millions of hearts in all respects.
The duo first met on the set of the 2016 Kannada film Kirik Party, which was the debut film of Rashmika, and started dating each other. Both the actors took their relationship to the next level in July 2017, when they got engaged to each other in a big engagement ceremony at her hometown of Virajpet, Karnataka.
Rashmika was just 21 and Rakshit was aged 34 at the time of their engagement. Despite an age gap of 13 years, the two were very much in love until 2018, when Rashmika called off the engagement one year later.
Why did the couple part ways?
In September 2018, almost 14 months after getting engaged, Rashmika decided to call off the engagement with Rakshit, due to which she received a lot of hatred and criticism, as people were blaming her for the failed engagement.
The duo didn’t tell anyone the reason behind their failed relationship. However, as per an old interview of Rashmika’s mother, Suman Mandanna, the couple were facing compatibility issues and hence mutually decided to part ways.
During that time, Rashmika was being trolled and Rakshit was off the media grid for a while, but he had to come back to clarify the situation with a heartfelt note in which he asked fans to stop judging Rashmika for the break up.

On the work front, Rashmika Mandanna has two more Hindi films- Mission Majnu and Animal, in which she will star opposite Sidharth Malhotra and Ranbir Kapoor, respectively. She will also feature in Pushpa 2: The Rule and Varisu, whereas actor-producer Rakshit Shetty has recently featured in 777 Charlie, which turned out to be the 5th highest grossing Kannada film.
As the producer, he has films like Sapna Sagaradaache Ello, Ekam, Abracadabra and Strawberry in the pipeline.
