Directed by Rafiq Ismail, Rathasaatchi is an upcoming Tamil movie that is based on prominent writer Jeyamohan’s story “Kaithigal.” The debutante director has also written the film’s screenplay.
Jeyamohan is known for scripting the story of films like Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu and for penning the dialogues for the screen adaptation of Krishnamurthy’s directorial, the blockbuster and highest grossing Tamil movie of the year- Ponniyin Selvan-I.
The story of Rathasaatchi is a testament to the humanity that exists within the armed forces and how it impacts the lives of two individuals.

Rathasaatchi Star Cast
Produced by Anitha Mahendran and S. Disney, the Aha Original movie stars Kanna Ravi in the lead role. The actor is best known for playing crucial roles in ace filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Karthi starrer Kaithi (2019).
His most recent release is Keerthy Suresh starrer Saani Kaayidham, which had a direct release on Amazon Prime Video. The film also features Harish Kumar, Elango Kumaravel, Kalyan Master, Madras Charles, etc.
Javed Riaz composed the film’s music, while Jagadeesh R. handled cinematography and Prakash Karunanithi edited it. Arun Karunanithi has served as the executive producer of the film.
Rathasaatchi Release Date
Instead of going for the theatrical release, the makers of the film will release it on OTT. The film is set to be released on Aha Tamil soon, and the official date has been announced with the release official trailer, save the date 9 December 2022.

The first-look poster of the film looked very promising and impactful, featuring Kanna Ravi sitting on an elephant. We can also see fire breaking out in the background and the communist symbol, the hammer and sickle.
