Online streaming giant Netflix will soon be back with its upcoming live action thriller series titled Resident Evil, which is based on Capcom’s Japanese horror video game of the same name.
The franchise was launched in 1996, consists of numerous video game sequels, live action film series, animated films, television series, comic books, novels, audio dramas and other media and merchandise.
The “Resident Evil” film series has made 7 films so far and the latest among them titled Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, starring James Harris, Hartley Gorenstein and Robert Kulzer, was released November 24, 2021.
Now the franchise is all set to expand itself by delivering the web adaptation of the horror video game series soon.

The lead actor himself announced the star cast of this much-hyped horror series on June 11, 2021 which features him along with his co-stars.

Andrew Dabb has written the screenplay alongside Mary Leah Sutton and Bronwen Hughes of “The Walking Dead” fame is on board as director while the series is produced by Constantin Film, which also produced the Resident Evil Films starring Milla Jovovich.
Resident Evil Release Date
Netflix announced the release date of the debut series of the horror drama on March 17, 2022 by sharing yellow-colored posters that revealed that the debut season will be released on July 14, 2022 on the platform.
The debut season will premiere 8 super exciting episodes and the episode one of it will be titled as “Welcome to New Raccoon City”

Plot of the Series
During the announcement of the series in August 20220, it was said that it would take place across two timelines, when Albert Wesker two daughters Jade and Billie moved to New Raccoon City as teenagers.
Another set in future in the year 2036, 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse and Jade Wesker and others are fighting hard for their survival in a world overrun by blood-thirsty and insane creatures.
