Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has hit the theatres on Friday, the film was well-received by the critics at the screenings praising Madhav’s performance. It is directed, written, produced, and as well as enacted by R. Madhavan.
It is released in five languages English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada in cinemas. North India distributors of the film are Yash Raj Films, Phars Film Co, and UFO Moviez while the south version will be distributed by Red Giant Movies of Udhayanidhi Stalin’s and AGS Cinemas.
Box Office Collection
As per the early reports, Rocketry earned Rs 0.75-1 Cr nett domestically, if it was released in pre-pandemic time it would have seen the opening of Rs 3 Cr+ easily. The film has got a good advance booking for the opening weekend and is expected to show growth during the weekend.
As per the trade analyst Ramesh Bala, Rocketry leads at the US box office among the new releases on Day 1, he also informed that the film has debuted in the Top 10 at box office Malaysia, along with the Tamil film Yaanai.

The film tells the story of India’s former scientist of ISRO, Nambi Narayan who was accused of espionage case in 1994 and after two decades was acquitted of all charges in the case he was never guilty of, by the supreme court of India. His story must be told and heard.

NDTV Saibal Chatterjee gave the film 3.5 stars out of 5, Vaishali Jain of India TV also gave 3.5 out of 5 stars, and Koimoi’s Subham Kulkarni rated the film 3.5/5 stars. Critics from TOI, Pinkvilla and Bollywood Hungama gave the film 3 out of 5 stars. The film was well-received by the critics, and Maddy’s performance as director and actor was praised.

The film is released in Pan India and reportedly it was released on over 2000+ screens domestically, with around 5000 shows a day in India while the film is being showcased in around 2800+ screens worldwide.
