Mammootty starrer Malayalam psychological thriller “Rorschach” is doing very well at the box office. It is nearing to complete its second week at the box office and has grossed in the vicinity of 35 crores, globally, so far.
It was opened to positive reviews from the critics, it received praise for the writing, music, direction, technical aspects e.g cinematography, production design, editing. And the performance of Mammooty.
Rorschach Box Office 1st Week
Rorschach took a start of 2.25 crore nett at the box office in the domestic market and witnessed growth over the weekend. The first-weekend collection of the mystery thriller stood at Rs 8.75 Cr.
It saw a normal drop of 56% on its first Monday and was stable on the first week of weekdays. It minted in the vicinity of 13 Cr nett in the domestic market on the first week.
Box Office Collection Day 13
Mammootty starrer again showed growth over its second weekend and minted over 3.5 crores nett in its 2nd weekend. The film saw around 79% drop on its 2nd Monday. And as per the trade reports, it is stable on the weekdays albeit on the lower side.
It collected Rs 29L on its second Monday and remained steady on its second Tuesday with 22-25L more added to its cash registers. And now as per the early trade estimations, Rorschach earns in the vicinity of 20L at the box office on Day 13 to take its total collections over 17 Crs nett domestically.

Mammootty’s film is running out of its fuel at the box office now, the film has few days more to perform until Nivin Pauly’s much-hyped Padavettu arrives on Oct 21st. The latter has created a buzz ahead of the release already and is expected to see a wide release in the home market. Hence, it will be tough for Mammootty starrer to stand against Padavettu. It is expected to end its run below 20 Cr nett lifetime in the domestic market.
