It has been the year of south Indian films ruling the Indian box office, it all started with stylish star Allu Arjun’s film Pushpa, then Rajamouli’s RRR, and now KGF 2.
These three films not only performed well in the home market but across the country in dubbed languages, in particular, the Hindi versions of these films have done outstanding business.
Rajamouli has become the household name in the whole country for showcasing the magnum opuses like Baahubali, Baahubali 2, and now RRR, the latter film even after a month box office run still holds strong and churning out in crores worldwide on the daily basis.
Rajamouli seems to have a Midas touch as whichever the project the showman undertakes becomes successful, if reports are to be believed then Rajamouli will work on a female-centric film next, he opened it about when talking to the entertainment portal Bollywood Hungama Rajamouli on being asked on female-centric film.
His interview is being construed as the ace director might work on a female-centric film next it could either be a period war film or a psychological thriller.
However talking about RRR, the film despite being screened on limited screens in the 5th week, KGF 2 juggernaut and clash, the film holds strong at the box office and has been collected Rs 1115.50 crores worldwide in its 34 days theatrical run.
As per the reports, the film accumulated around Rs 1.50 Cr on day 34 taking the total collection to Rs 1115.50 crores gross. In Hindi, it collects around Rs 50 lakh making the total Hindi collections Rs 263.5 crores nett.
