RRR Telugu TV Premiere Date, Where & When to Watch?

Telugu epic action drama film RRR, directed and by Tollywood’s most successful S.S. Rajamouli of “Baahubali” fame, is set to have its TV premiere in various Indian languages, after breaking all records in its theater as well as OTT release.

The film stars Telugu superstars N.T. Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan in the lead roles. The actors played the roles of two Indian revolutionaries, Komaram Bheem and Allure Sitarama Raju, respectively.

Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt also appeared in the film in special cameos. Also, English actress Olivia Morris, and Irish actors Ray Steveson and Alison Doody play key roles in the film.

Produced by D.V.V. Under the banner of his DVV Entertainment, the Pan film was released theatrically on March 25, 2022 in Telugu along with the dubbed versions of Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and other languages in 2D, 3D and IMAX formats. RRR became the first film to be released in Dolby Cinema formats.

After having a successful theatre run, the film had its OTT streaming on May 20, 2022 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada on Zee5 and in Hindi on Netflix, almost after 2 months of its theater-release.

The makers of the film have given another reason to celebrate to Telugu audiences and that is its TV premiere. Yes, you heard it right. The film will soon have its Telugu TV premiere on Star Maa.

Although the date of film’s telecast in Telugu is yet to be announced, it is being said that the film can have the premiere on August 14, 8 pm, as On the same day and at the same time, the film will have its Hindi TV premiere on Zee Cinema. Well, we will wait for the official announcement of the film regarding its Telugu premiere.

About the Film

Set in 1920, the film is a fictional story about the great revolutionaries Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, and their fight against cruel British Raj. Set in 1920s, the plot explores the undocumented period in their lives when both of them chose to go into obscurity before they began the fight for their country.

Box-Office Collection

The film did an overall business of Rs. 415 crore in Telugu speaking states- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and Rs. 326 crore in Hindi belt. It grossed Rs. 1150-1200 crore worldwide, setting several box-office records for an Indian film including the second highest grossing film in India and the third highest grossing Indian film until it was surpassed by K.G.F: Chapter 2 during its theatrical run.
