Runway 34 is a thriller film set in 2015 said to be based on real events of the narrow escape of a jet airways flight (Doha to Kochi) in 2015, it is helmed, starred, and produced by Ajay Devgn himself. Along with Ajay and senior Bachchan, YouTube sensation Carryminati aka Ajay Nagar also features in the film and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead actress role.
Now, as we know that the good old days of Indian cinema are back with successful films like Pushpa, Gangubai Kathiawadi, The Kashmir Files, RRR, and now KGF2.
Screen Count & Clash
Box office India is back on track with these big money-spinner films and is also busy nowadays as KGF2 and RRR are still running successfully. The latter has already joined the 1000 Cr club and the former is en route to joining. Amid all this hullabaloo, Runway 34 has to face a clash with Tiger Shroff starrer Heropanti 2, given all these facts Ajay’s film might get low screen counts as was expected. As per the estimation, it will release around 2000 to 2200 screens in the northern belt.
Advance Bookings
Advance bookings have been opened a day ahead of the film’s release, so far there is no craze amid the audience for the film given the advance ticket sales. As per the trailer, it seems a message-driven film so we expect that there are chances of the film to earn more from the multiplexes than single screens.
Budget
Ajay and Big B starrer is said to be made with a production budget around Rs 60 to 80 crores, so the film needs to be collected around at least beyond Rs 100 crores to be called successful.
Box Office Collection
Runway 34 had a special screening for Bollywood stars ahead of the film’s release, where it got out and out positive reviews, Ajay’s direction was really appreciated by the reviewers. As per our prediction, it will collect around Rs 5 to 6 crore nett on day 1.
