After two years of gap, the singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs returned with its 9th season on October 15, 2022. This hit spin-off version is the popular Hindi reality television franchise Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, which started in 1995.
The show premiered every Saturday and Sunday at 9 p.m. on Zee TV, online on Zee5. The season ended with winner Jetshen Dohna Lama, who is just 9 year old.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs Season 9 Winner & Runner Up
A total of 13 contestants participated this season, of whom six were in the race to become the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs this year. The grand finale of the show was premiered on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at 9 p.m. simultaneously on Zee TV and Zee5.
Sikkim girl Jetshen Dohna Lama topped this show and talents like Harsh Sikander and Dhyaneshwari Gadage become 1st and 2nd runner up respectively.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs Season 9 Finalists
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs was started in 2006 when Sanchita Bhattacharya won the show, singer Shaan hosted it with late musician Bappi Lahiri, Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Alka Yagnik judged.
Talking about the last season, it was organised in 2020 and won by Aryananda R Babu. Popular TV host Manish Paul hosted this while the judges were also different, singer-musician Himesh Reshammiya, Alka Yagnik, and Javed Ali judged this show.
This year Anu Malik, Niti Mohan, and Shankar Mahadevan were judges whereas laughter queen Bharti Singh, hosted the show.
1- Jetshen Dohna Lama (Winner)
Jetshen Dohna Lama is a budding singer who hails from Pakyong, Sikkim. She performed on Sunidhi Chauhan’s “Udi” song during the audio round. She was passionate about singing since an early age, and her passion and talent led her to the top 8 of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Season 9.
2- Harsh Sikandar (1st Runner Up)
9-year old Harsh Sikandar hails from Jalandhar, Punjab. He impressed the judges with his outstanding performances in the grand premiere episode. From the very young age, he took responsibility for his family after his father passed away and started singing in Jagratas to support his family financially. His struggle left judges in tears in the audition round.
3- Dnyaneshwari Gadage
Dnyaneshwari Gadage, the 12-year-old singer, is the daughter of a rickshaw driver from Maharashtra. She not only impressed the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa judges but also Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who invited her to his home.
Apart from that, the reality show’s judge, singer Shankar Mahadevan, also gave her a chance to perform live with him in a show in Mumbai. She performed legendary singer Asha Bhosle’s song “Jhoote Naina Bole Saanchi Batiyaan.”
4- Atharva Bakshi
Atahrava Bakshi is another Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs Season 9 contestant who made it to the top eight. He is from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, and is currently living in Mumbai. He is in the fifth grade at Ryan Public School.
His father, Satyadev Bakshi, is a manager at a software company. It’s not the first time he’s participated in a reality show. Earlier, he also participated in Zee TV’s Swarna Swar Bharat.
5- Atanu Mishra
The 8-year-old contestant of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs Season 9 hails from Contai, West Bengal. His favourite singer is the late Prabodh Chandra Dev, popularly known by his stage name Manna Dey.
He impressed the judge by singing the iconic song “Ae Meri Zohra Jabeen,” and Shankar Mahadevan and Anu Malik called him “mini Manna Dev.”
6- Rafa Yeasmin
Rafa Yeasmin hails from Malda, West Bengal. She was born to Tania Yeasmin and Rajjak Yeasmin in February 2019. She is currently studying at Sabuj Abujh Shishu Angan School.
Before participating in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 9, she also appeared in the 2020 singing reality show Taare Zameen Par, judged by Jonitha Gandhi, Tony Kakkar, and Shankar Mahadevan.
SaReGaMaPa Lil Champs 9 Eliminated Contestants
The show started with 13 contestants and is now left with the top 6 contestants, whereas Aarohi Soni, Devika Sharma, Palakshi Dixit, Prajyot Gundale, Harmeher Kaur Kalsey, Rajdeep Ghosh, and Asham Khan Ali have been eliminated from the show. Check out the details:
1- Aarohi Soni (7th Position)
Aarohi Soni comes from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The 8-year-old is a student of Class 3 at Silver Bells School in Ghaziabad. Aarohi’s father, Gaurav Soni, is a music teacher at St. Joseph’s Academy, Nandgram, and he puts a lot of effort into her music education from a very young age.
2- Devika Sharma (8th Position)
Another talented contestant of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 9 is Devika Sharma, who hails from Hyderabad, Telangana. She not only has a beautiful voice, but she also plays the harmonium flawlessly.She was honoured with a gold medal for her performance in the audition round.
3- Palakshi Dixit (9th Position)
Palakshi Dixit, the budding singer, hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra. She rose to prominence after appearing in the Marathi version of the singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs in 2021 and later becoming one of the 13 contestants in the Hindi version of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs in its ninth season.
However, she fell short of the Top 8 and finished in ninth place.
4- Prajyot Gundale (10 Position)
Prajyot Gundale from Pune, Maharashtra, made it to the top 10 in Sa Re Ga Ma L’il Champs Season 9. Before that, he participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs Marathi Season 1, where he grabbed everyone’s attention with his talent and secured his position in the Top 5.
5- Harmeher Kaur Kalsey (11th Position)
Harmeher Kaur Kalsey, a young, talented singer, has been singing since she was little. Her father, who owns a music studio, encouraged her to pursue a singing career.She is not only a good singer but also plays several instruments.
The 8-year old was selected among the 13 contestants of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs Season 9 and earned the 11th spot.
6- Rajdeep Ghosh (12 Position)
Rajdeep Ghosh secured the 12th position in Sa Re Ga Pa L’il Champs Season 9. He impressed judges with his singing talent but couldn’t be in the show for very long as he received the lowest score from juries and judges, which led to his elimination from the show.
7- Asham Khan Ali (13 Position)
The budding singer hails from Sikar, Rajasthan, and currently studies in Class 6 at Aakashdeep School. He left the judges mesmerised with his performance in the auditions and managed to confirm his position among the top 13 contestants of the show.
