Safed is an upcoming romantic film which is directed and written by Sandeep Singh who in the past produced many movies like Mary Kom, Rowdy Rathore, Aligarh, Sarabjit, PM Narendra Modi and Jhund etc. Sandeep is making his directorial debut with this film.
Vinod Bhanushali, the former president of T-Series, and the founder of Bhanushali Studios Limited is producing this romantic drama film in association with Ajay Harinath Singh and Sandeep Singh. Also, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Vishal Gurnani and Juhi Parekh Mehta are serving as the co-producers of the film. The film is being presented by Bhanushali Studios Limited and Legend Studios.
Safed Star Cast
Young actor Abhay Verma, who is best known for playing Kalyan/ Salman in Manoj Bajpayee starrer The Family Man Season 2, is playing the major male lead in the film. His first web-show Marzi was showcased on Voot. After that, he acted in Netflix’s ‘Little Things’ and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Maan Bairagi.
Model and Actress Meera Chopra who works in Tamil, Telugu and hindi films is playing the female lead opposite Abhay. She is known for projects like Bangaram (2006), Lee (2007), Vaana (2008), 1920 London (2016) and Section 375 (2019) among others. Also, she has some interesting projects in the pipeline which includes Hindi film Nastik and Hindi-Telugu bilingual film Mogali Puvvu.
About the Film
The film was shot in the oldest city of the World Banaras in just 11 days with 35 crew members. Its is going to a sad love story. Expressing his gratitude, Sandeep tells that it is humbling and encouraging for him to presenting a story worlds know least about. He further adds, that the film is a romantic story that pains his heart in a way that gives him happiness.
Safed Team in the Cannes Film Festival
The pictures of the team “Safed” walking the Red Carpet at the 75th addition of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival at Cannes, France is being circulated all over the internet. Meera Chopra who make her debut at the festival will unveil the first look of the film there.
