Undoubtedly, Salman Khan is one of the most celebrated and loved actors of all time but we can’t deny that he picked several scripts which were rejected badly, even his die-hard fans don’t love to talk about them.
People criticize the superstar for poor plot writing, repeated masala, dance, fight sequence, etc but a special audience accepted him as he is or his movies are. Sometimes he failed to deliver what that special audience expected from him.
Salman Khan’s real Box Office Journey started with choreographer turned director-actor Prabhu Deva’s action cop drama movie Wanted (2009), after which most of the films started creating so much hype and buzz.
Where he was confident about his films, audiences remind him that they need the content too with entertaining and swag elements. Tubelight, Race 3, Radhe: The Most Wanted Bhai, and others got rejected badly.
1- Radhe
The director Prabhu Deva who gave Salman Khan his first solo blockbuster Wanted (2009), teamed up again after a decade but this time it goes wrong, Radhe (2021) failed at Box Office due to lesser theaters amid COVID-19 but was also rejected on the OTT platforms Zee Plex and ZEE5, its IMDb rating is 1.8 out of 10.
2- Race 3
We can’t call this big-budget movie disaster at Box Office but critics gave this negative reviews all over, social media flooded with memes and Salman Khan slammed for replacing Saif Ali Khan in this stylish con-action thriller directed by Remo D’souza, its IMDb rating is 1.9 out of 10.
3- Tubelight
There were many expectations from All time Blockbuster actor-director duo Salman Khan-Kabir khan but they failed this time and after that, they didn’t collaborate yet for any project. The movie also became meme martial at that time, IMDb rated with 3.8 out of 10.
4- Marigold
This was the time when Salman Khan needed a hit to be in competition, American filmmaker Willard Carroll failed to give Bhai, his audience. Marigold’s IMDb rating is still better than Radhe and Race 3, 4.8 out of 10.
5- Main Aur Mrs. Khanna
Main Aur Mrs. Khanna (2009) is directed and penned by Prem Ra. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Preity Zinta in lead with Salman Khan couldn’t save this film, the IMDb rating is 3.6 out of 10.
6- Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar
Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar (2006) is directed by K. S. Adhiyaman, Shilpa Shetty, and Salman Khan in pivotal roles but couldn’t save this from Box Office disaster, IMDb rating is 4 out of 10.
7- Kurbaan
Kurbaan (1991) is one of the films of starting year of Salman Khan, paired with beautiful Ayesha Jhulka, neither won at Box Office nor critics talked about this crap with IMDb rating 4.2, this is among unheard films.
8- Jaagruti
90’s hit actress Karisma Kapoor paired with Salman Khan for this Suresh Krissna directional film did good business at Box Office but critics gave negative reviews, its IMDb rating is 4.3.
9- Yeh Majhdhaar
Aashiqui fame Rahul Roy, Salman Khan, Manshila Koirala came together but Esmayeel Shroff directed this film was a disaster at Box Office and IMDb rating is 4.9 out of 10.
10- Jaanam Samjha Karo
Andaleb Sultabpuri directed this modern love story of that time also stars late legendary actor Shammi Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar is the lead female in the film, its IMDb rating is 4.9 out of 10.
