In an another shocking incident, Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father Saleem Khan received an unsigned letter threatening them to kill with a message “”Salim Khan, Salman khan, bahot jald tumhara Moose Wala Kar denge (soon you will face same fate as Moose Wala).
This event assume significance as the threat for killing both of them came a few days after Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in the broad daylight by a group a attacker on May 29, 2022 at Jawahar Ke village of Mansa district of Punjab, a day after his security was pared by the newly elected Punjab Government.
The attackers are said to be the members of the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang, which threatened to kill Salman Khan earlier in 2018, for his involvement in black buck poaching cases of 1998.
As per Mumbai Police, the letter giving the death threat was found by Salim Khan’s security staff on a bench on which the veteran usually sits daily after jogging in the morning. It was found at Bandra Bandstand early on Sunday morning at around 8 am.
After this development, Saleem Khan contacted the Police through his security guard and handed over the letter to the police. His statement has been recorded and an offense has also been registered under the Indian Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
