Karthi’s latest release espionage thriller “Sardar” has emerged victorious among the Diwali releases. It was opened with mixed reviews from critics praising the cast performances, plot, and action sequences. It was released on Oct 21st in Tamil and Telugu.
Sardar grossed 50 crores worldwide on its fifth day and following the success, the sequel of the movie has also been announced by the makers. It is directed and written by P.S. Mithran and produced by S. Lakshman Kumar under the banner Prince Pictures.

15th Clean-hit Telugu 2022
Yes! you read that right, Karthi’s film has emerged as a clean hit in Telugu. The business of Sardar was valued at Rs 5.50 crores, it has recovered the 5.88 crores shares in 6 days in the two Telugu states. It has now become the 15th clean-hit Telugu venture this year. Recently Brahmastra dubbed-Telugu version was also considered successful in AP & TG.

Box Office Collection Day 7
It has sold the tickets worth Rs 50.85 Lakhs from the advance bookings for day 7. Out of which, around 35L came in from Tamil and approx 15L came from Telugu.
As per the trade estimations, it collects around 2crores on Thu to take the total 1st-week domestic collections of Sardar to over Rs 38 crores. It had 14.50% overall Tamil occupancy rate across all the shows, morning, noon, evening and night shows.
Sardar 1st Week Report
Due to the multi clashes, it took an average start at the box office, the flick witnessed further growth in the following days due to glowing word of mouth. Sardar is performing very well in both languages Tamil and Telugu. It witnessed its first drop on its 6th day (1st Wed), it showed a 25% drop on Wednesday as compared to its first day.
