Well-known Kollywood actor Karthi will be seen in a dual role in his next solo film. The film is titled Sardar and is touted to be a spy thriller. Sardar is written and helmed by P.S. Mithran. It will mark his third film as a writer and director after Irumbu Thirai and Hero.
Makers unveiled the Official Motion Poster of Sardar in April 2021, which made quite a buzz among south Indian movie buffs, the filming started from the same month. Though production was halted on account of covid 19 then, It resumed from the first week of Jan, makers confirmed it through SM.

Star Cast of Sardar
Apart from Karthi and Raashi Khanna, Jai Bhim fame Rajisha Vijayan will also be seen in a pivotal role. Bollywood actor Chunky Pandey supposedly is making his Kollywood debut through this film. Other actors Simran, Munishkanth, Murali Sharma, and Ilavarasu in important roles.
Sardar Theatrical & OTT Release Date
Sardar to hit theatres soon this Deepawali 2022. Ahead of theatrical release, the film’s business seems to get on as according to various reports the post-theatrical digital rights of the film have been sold in a considerable number.

The post-theatrical digital rights of Sardar have been acquired by the Tamil video on demand platform Aha Tamil, therefore Sardar will be premiered on the digital platform after some stay in theatres.

Sardar is financed by S. Lakshman Kumar under the banner Prince Pictures. The film has the music by G.V. Prakash Kumar earlier he will mark the first collab with the director Mithran through this film. George C. Willimas cranked the camera and the editing has been carried out by Ruben. VFX hariharan Suthran and Kirubakaran Ramasamy executive produced it.
