The arrival of the superstar Mahesh Babu on the big screens came as a big boost to the Tollywood industry. The distributors and the exhibitors who have suffered losses owing to the dull business of Acharya and Radhe Shyam must have breathed a sigh of relief cause of the staggering opening of SVP.
But the job is not done yet, to translate the big opening day into a profitable venture, it needs to have a blockbuster opening weekend as it is yet Rs 62 crore away to reach the break-even mark.
On opening day, Sarkaru Vaari Paata managed to collect Rs 70 Cr gross worldwide and became the fourth-highest opening day grosser Indian film of the year after RRR (Rs 235 Cr), KGF2 (Rs 164 Cr+), and Beast (Rs 86 Cr+), the former two films raked in a lot of moolah while the latter failed miserably, on which side SVP’s future lies that only time will tell.
However, the film has a break-even mark of Rs 121 Cr as the pre-release business of the film was Rs 120 Cr. Now as per the reports, Mahesh Babu starrer saw a drop in its collections on Day 2, as we have estimated, it accumulated Rs 20 Crs gross on Friday worldwide taking the total collection to Rs 90 crores gross.

The weekday release film has a four-day long weekend, it is expected to see a surge in the footfalls on the last two days of the weekend. Let’s see if the expectation turns out to be right or not, it will also remain to see whether the 4-day long weekend strategy of the maker works or not.
