Scream or Scream 5 is an upcoming American horror film that is the 5th installment of the Scream franchise.
Scream 5 is the direct sequel to Scream 4, the fourth installment of the Scream film series and it would be the continuation of the story that was left off in Scream 4.
The first 4 installments of the Scream franchise were directed by Wesley Earl Craven, who was popularly known as Wes Craven.
Wes Craven died in 2015 in Los Angeles, USA but before his death in 2011 he was given the contract of the fifth and sixth installments of the Scream franchise, to be made if Season 4 will be successful.
He was a well-known director who was known for his pioneering work in Slasher films and owing to his excellent direction in horror movies, he was called the “Master of Horror”.
Scream 5 will be the first among all parts, which is not directed by him. All the four parts of the Scream franchise were critically acclaimed and commercial hits.

Scream Release Date
The fifth installment of the Scream franchise is all set to hit the big screens on January 14, 2022.
The official Twitter handle of the Scream movies revealed the release date on August 29, 2020.
It shared a motion poster of the Ghostface mask and tweeted “On January 14, 2022… We are going to hear you SCREAM.”
There is no official announcement regarding the OTT release of the film by its makers. We will keep you updated regarding this.
Scream Trailer
Makers of this horror film released its trailer on October 12, 2021. The trailer was really promising and terrifying as well.
It was released by Paramount Pictures, which has acquired the rights of the distribution of the film, on its official Youtube channel. It has 1.7 Crore views and 1.2 Lakhs Likes so far.
The trailer shows the killer wearing Ghostface Mask back to the big screen after a 10-year long gap. We could expect to see the real face behind the Ghostface in this part of the Scream franchise.
