The anticipated Kollywood action thriller Selfie graces the theatres on 1 April 2022, and as per the reports it is receiving an astounding response from the viewers.
Mathi Maran’s directorial had already created much hype through its trailer, and the buzz among the Tamil movie lovers watching the two stars, G.V & Gautam Vasudev Menon on the same screen made the film more anticipating.
The Bachelor fame actor apart from playing the main lead also gave the music in the film, it is bankrolled by D Sabareesh under the banner DG Film Company.
Advance Bookings
The advance bookings for the film had been opened a day prior to the film’s release, and it saw an amazing response from there, half of the evening and night shows had been sold out and many were filling fast in the major market, Chennai.

Reviews of the film are all positive be it the audience or the critics, they are praising the storylines, dialogues, and the performance of both the actors G.V and Gautham.
Box Office Collection Day 1
Selfie collected around Rs 1-2 Cr nett on day 1 which is amazing figures, Selfie is released in around 180 screens in Tamil Nadu, and made with an overall production budget of Rs 12-15 Cr, considering the film is a small budget film, an overall of Rs 20 Cr net would be enough for the film to put itself on the list of successful movies.
Selfie is an action thriller, directed by Mathi Maran, he also wrote the story and the screenplay for the film. It stars G.V Prakash Kumar in
the main lead role, Gautham Vasudev Menon is essaying the antagonist role, Varsha Bollamma as the main lead actress opposite G.V Prakash, other actors Vidya Pradeep, Vagai Chandrasekhar, Sangili Murugan, Subramanian Siva, also features in the film as the main lead.
On the technical part, Vishnu Rangasamy cranked the camera, S. Elayaraja was on board for the editing, and the music in the film is given by G.V. himself.
