After playing the antagonist role last year in the Tamil romantic comedy Bachelor, music composer turned actor G.V Prakash Kumar, is now all gearing for his upcoming Kollywood action thriller Selfie.
The film will have the filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon playing a full-fledged role, the action-thriller is written and directed by the debutante Mathi Maran.
Selfie was in news since May 2020, when it was reported that the filmmaker Menon and the music composer Prakash will be appearing in an action thriller.
Selfie Release Date
Later in Sept 2021 the first look poster of the film was unveiled featuring Gautam and G.V with their gang members in the sketchy poster. Selfie is now scheduled to hit the theatres on 1 April 2022.

Star Cast of Selfie
G.V. Prakash Kumar and Gautham Vasudev Menon will be seen locking horns in the film, While G.V is playing the main lead, Gautham Vasudev essaying the villain’s role, Bigil fame Varsha Bollamma and Pasanga 2 fame Vidya Pradeep will be playing the lead actress, Other star casts includes Vagai Chandrasekhar, Sangili Murugan, Subramaniam Siva, DG Gunanidhi, Sam Paul and Thangadurai.

Prakash will be playing the engineering student who delves into the side business of luring students to join the college through management quota, which seems enraged the villain (portraying Menon), who was already in the business. How will they both handle each other forms the rest of the story?

Directed and written by Mathi Maran, bankrolled by D.Sabareesh under the banner DG Film Company in association with V Creation, G.V Prakash is the first time playing as a lead in the S Thanu film.
On the technical front, the cinematography is done by Vishnu Rangasamy and S.Elayaraja is on board for the editing and the film will have the music composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar.
