Actress Taapsee Pannu starrer Shabaash Mithu will soon be available on OTT after turning out a box-office bomb. Based on the life journey of the most respected and celebrated female cricketer Mithali Raj, who captained India Women’s National Cricket team in ODIs as well as Test Match.
The cricket-legend announced her retirement from all the formats of International cricket on June 8, 2022 after a glorious 23-year old career. During the promotion of the film, she promoted the film with Taapsee but unfortunately, it couldn’t do well at the box-office.
Along with Taapsee, the film also stars Mumtaz Sorcar, Vijay Raaz, Inayat Verma, Brijendra Kala, Devadarshini, Swayam Joshi, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Aditi Aryan, Nirali Oza, Priya Kumari and many others.
Shabaash Mithu OTT Release Date
The film written by Priya Aven and produced by Viacom18 Studios and Coloseum Media, released theatrically on July 15, 2022 and despite much hype, the sports drama failed to entertain the audience on big screens, that’s why the film will soon be available on the OTT.

It will have post- theatrical release on August 12, 2022 on OTT giant Netflix as well as Voot Select. Before it, Ranveer Singh starrer 83 was also released on these two platforms. Although Voot Select is yet to make an official announcement regarding the official release date, there are high chances it will also drop the film on the same day. Along with Hindi, the film will also stream in Tamil and Telugu languages).

The film made with the budget of Rs. 25-30 crore was the most expensive film of Taapsee’s career. There were a lot of expectations from the film but unfortunately, it under-performed at box-office and on its opening day earned around Rs. 40 lakh following Rs. 55 lakh and Rs. 70 lakh on the second and the third day, respectively. It turned out to be a box-office bomb.
