Based on true events, Shadow Assassins is an upcoming crime thriller film directed by Nilaanjan Reeta Datta, known for his work in The Head Hunter and Golper Mayajaal.
Datta is also serving as the story writer and co screenwriter with Rohit Kumar. Raghav Dar is the dialogue writer, whereas Bhushan Ingole is serving as the additional dialogue writer of the film.
Star Cast
The film stars actors Anurag Sinha and Misti Chakraborty in the lead roles. Sinha started his acting journey with path-breaking performances in films like ‘Black and White, “Prisoners of War,” “Bandi Yuddh Ke,” “Kaun Banegi Sikharwati,” “Mannphodganj Ki Binny,” etc.
On the other hand, Misty Chakraborty is known for her roles in movies like Kaanchi: The Unbreakable, Adam Joan, Brihaspathi, and Burra Katta. She has also appeared in Kangana Ranaut starrer 2019 period drama film Manikarnika.
Along with him, the film also stars Monuj Borkotoky, Rakesh Chaturvedi Om, KP Sandhu, Hemant Kher, Soumya Mukherjee, Akash Sinha, Ranjeev Lal Barua, Stuti Choudhury, Mrigendra N Konwar, Ranjita Boruah, Violet Nazir Tiwari, and Bibhuti Bhushan Hazarika in key roles.
The film has Gargey Trivedi as the cinematographer, Navnita Sen as the editor, and Ashu Chakraborty as the music director. The film’s songs feature the beautiful voices of singers Zubeen Garg and Javed Ali.
Release Date
Produced by Siddharth Mahajan, Anil Goswami, Rahul Kapoor, Navnita Sen, Shitiz Jain, and Nilaanjan R. Datta, the crime drama has finally gotten a release date. It is set to be released on the big screen on December 9, 2022.

The Taapsee Pannu-starrer horror drama film Blurr is also scheduled to be released o the same day. However, it will be released directly on Zee5.
About the Film
Set against the backdrop of Assam in 1998, the film is based on some real-life events. It is the story of a young ambitious boy, Nirbhay Kalita who got sucked into vengeance after his dear ones were assassinated.
