Bollywood’s dashing star Ranbir Kapoor’s period action drama Shamshera was arrived at the big screens in July, the actor was away from the screens for over 4 yrs.
Ranbir was last seen in one of the most popular directors Rajkumar Hirani’s biographical drama film Sanju which was based on the life of Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt.
The film ended up being one of the highest-grossing films and reached the Rs 100 crore milestone (domestic) within the 3 days of its release. It has a final worldwide gross of US$ 78 Million (Rs 586.85 Crore) but Shamshera is collapsed at Box Office.
Shamshera Theater Release Date
The release date of this most-awaited historic drama film was delayed many times due to the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier, it was slated to be released on July 31, 2020, which got canceled and rescheduled for June 25, 2021, but for some reason, the release date was delayed again. The film was then pushed back to March 18, 2022, it was postponed three times and finally hit the big screens on 22 July 2022.

The post-theatrical streaming rights of this much-hyped drama film are bagged by one of the most popular online streaming platforms Amazon Prime Video.
One of the biggest Box Office failures of YRF, is now on Amazon Prime Video from 19th of August 2022. Apart from Shamshera, Yash Raj Films already collaborated with Amazon Prime Video for post-theatrical OTT streaming of movies like Bunty Aur Babli 2, Prithviraj, and Jayeshbhai Jordaar in year 2021.
