Shimanto: No Man’s land is an upcoming Bengali crime thriller film which is directed and written by Suman Maitra who is best known for directing and writing movies Doshhomi and 71 Broken Lines.
The film is being presented by Rata Saha and Satadeep Saha in association with CHIROSQRO Films. It is produced by SSR Cinemas Pvt. Ltd.

The film stars Payel Sarkar in the lead role. The actress is known for appearing in movies such as Anusandhan, The Eken, Magic and many others as well as web-shows Shobdo Jobdo, Cartoon, Mismatched Season 3 etc.
Along with her the film also features Shaheb Bhattacharjee, Rano Joy, Mainak Banerjee, Sudip Mukherjee, Hrishie Raj, Ananda S. Choudhuri, Sushil Sikaria, Sonia Roy, Dhruba Debnath, Ratnadeep Ghosh, Pallavi M. Ghosh, Ishan Rana, Sayan Biswas, Amrita Halder, Soumitra Ghosh, Sreejit A. Sarkar, Subhash Pachisia and Pradip Biswas.
Shimanto Release Date
The official twitter handle of film production house SSR Cinemas have finally revealed the official release date of the film. It also dropped a poster featuring the main star cast of the film. It is now officially confirmed that the film will be released theatrically on September 2, 2022. The ticket will soon be available on Bookmyshow.

Smriti is serving as the cinematographer and colourist in the film whereas S. Shekhar is handling the editing work. Ashok Kanjilal and Avijit Mukherjee are serving as the production manager and production head, respectively. Thirthankar Majumdar is taking care of sound designing.
The film’s music and background score is composed by Bappaditya Subhro, who has also given his beautiful voices in songs of the film along with Singdhajit Bhoumik, Arkadeep Mishra.
About the Film
The plot of Suman Maitra directorial revolves around an elite team from Intelligence Bureau who are tasked to locate and destroy a criminal gang which is carrying out dangerous operations in and around Kolkata and along the border area.
