On 23rd June 2022, Sidhu Moose Wala’s team posted his much-awaited song SYL on his official YouTube channel, and on Sunday 26th June 2022 YouTube authorities deleted his song from his YouTube channels.
The song was on his YouTube for 3 days and the song has a message as the song was about Punjab’s water issue. SYL has gained 27 million views and 3 million like from his fans. The song is only deleted in India as the song is available in another country.

The song was written and produced by the late singer Sidhu Moose Wala and it was about the Sutlej-Yamuna Link canal. In every election, the water issue came into the limelight and then dims after the election is over.

The video features the faces of many armed groups, like Balwinder Singh Jatana, who was suspected of being a participant in the pro-Khalistan Babbar Khalsa and of killing Chief Engineer M.L Sikri and Superintendent Engineer A.S Aulakh on July 23, 1990, at the SYL office in Chandigarh.
Haryana wants the completion of the canal to get its share of the water in the Ravi-Beas river, while Punjab wants a reassessment of its share.
