South Indian International Movie Awards, popularly known as SIIMA Awards, are the most awards which are given for the artistic and technical achievements of the South Indian film Industry.
The award function was firstly started in June 2012 by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Brenda Prasad Adusimilli and since then it has been organised annually to reward the talented South Indian stars for their contribution in the field of art on a grand scale.
It is one of the prominent entertainment award ceremonies and unlike other South Indian film awards, SIIMA holds its ceremony abroad. However, in 2021 it was conducted in Hyderabad due to COVID-19 restrictions.
This year, SIIMA Awards have completed 10 years and it will be held at the Capital city of Karnataka, Bengaluru on the 10th and 11th September. The huge award ceremony will witness the presence of several popular personalities of South Indian Industry as well as a massive crowd.
Meanwhile, Brian Prasad Adusumilli, the Chairperson of SIIMA has announced SIMMA Nominations for films released in 2021 in 4 South Indian languages- Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam.

Among the Telugu films nominated, Allu Arjun’s blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise- Part 01 received 12 nominations following Akhanda, which received 10 nominations and Uppena and Rathi Ratnalu, both of which received 8 nominations etc.

Among the popular Tamil movies of 2021, Superstar Dhanush starrer Karnan received 10 nominations. It was followed by Nelson Dilipkumar directorial and Sivakarthikeyan starrer Doctor with 9 nominations. Actor Vijay’s Master and Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivii won 7 nominations each.

Young Mollywood actor Tovino Thomas starrer superhero film Minnal Murali won the highest nominations (10) among the Malayalam film, which was followed by Dulquer Salmaan’s crime thriller Kurup which received 8 nominations. Fahadh Faasil starrer Malik and Joji were nominated for 6 categories each.
