Slumberland OTT Release Date, Star Cast, Plot & More Updates

Directed by filmmaker Francis Lawrence, known for directing the critically acclaimed “The Hunger Games” film series, Slumberland is an upcoming American fantasy adventure film.

Written by David Guion and Michael Handelman, the film is based on the comic strip- Little Nemo in Slumberland which was created by popular American Cartoonist and animator Winsor McCay.

Slumberland is produced by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, David Ready and director Lawrence, who has also written its screenplay along with Michael Handelman. The film’s shooting began in February 2021 and concluded in May, the same year.

Slumberland Star Cast

The film stars actor Jason Momoa, known for his portrayal of Arthur Curry/Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe’s film Aquaman, in the lead role as Flick. Momoa will soon be seen in Aquaman 2 tiled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Child actress Marlow Barkley is playing a young girl Nema, who has dreams of Slumberland whereas Emmy Award winner and “Mayor of Kingstown” fame Kyle Chandler is playing Nemo’s father, Peter.

Other than these stars, the film also stars Weruche Opia as Agent Green, British actress/singer India de Beaufort and Irish actor-comedian Chris O’Dowd in the key roles.

Slumberland Trailer

On October 6, 2022, OTT giant Netflix dropped the trailer of Slumberland. It shows a little girl Nemo, who used to live with her father in an idyllic lighthouse by the Sea but suddenly he disappeared which leads to Nemo feeling alone and missing him badly.

The trailer introduced Momoa as Flip, an eccentric outlaw on a mission to help Nemo travel through dreams and flee nightmares, in hopes of reuniting with her father.

Both Flip and Nemo enter the magical world of dreams- Slumberland, where they encounter dreams and combat nightmares. After entering this world, Nemo feels she is getting close to her father.
