Biographical drama Neerja (2016) proved her worth as an actress. She has completed 14 years in the industry as an actor and is noticed for her work in films like Saawariya (2007), Raanjhanaa (2013), and Neerja (2016).

9 June 1985 born Sonam Kapoor started her career as an assistant director through Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s drama film Black (2005), the national award-winning film received an amazing response where megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherji got appreciated for their work.

She is the daughter of veteran actor Anil Kapoor and homemaker mother Sunita Kapoor. The actress debuted along with another debutante Ranbir Kapoor in 2007 through Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s romantic film Saawariya, both the lead received several nominations at the awards ceremonies.

Sonam Kapoor has completed 14 yrs in Bollywood, a well-known face of Bollywood but yet to leave a mark on the movie lovers, though the actress has appeared in a number of critically and commercially successful films like Neerja (2016), Padman (2018), Veere Di Wedding(2018), and Sanju (2018).

Sonam was seen in only one movie in the year 2020 on Vikramaditya Motwane’s black comedy film Ak Vs Ak, which received mixed to negative reviews. It got praised for its unique concept but failed to leave an impact on the viewers.

1- Blind

After a year-long hiatus from the screens, Sonam now will be seen in Shome Makhija’s directorial crime thriller Blind. The Glasgow, Scotland shooting schedule of the film went on floors in Dec 2020 and completed in a start to finish schedule in Feb 2021, it took only 39 days to conclude.

Apart from Sonam, it stars Vinay Pathak, Purab Kohli, and Lillette Dubey in significant roles. The film is touted to be a remake of the 2011 Korean film of the same name. Backed by Sujoy Ghosh, Avishek Ghosh, Manisha W, Pinkesh Nahar, Sachin Nahar, and Hyunwoo Thomas Kim under the banner Kross Pictures and Rainbow Studios.

2- Battle Of Bittora

Shashanka Ghosh’s directorial drama Battle of Bittora starring Sonam Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar, Farhan replaced Fawad Khan as the lead male in the film.

Though earlier the film was shelved for some unknown reasons, according to some media reports the project is all set to be resurrected again. Bankrolled by Rhea Kapoor, Sonam’s younger sister.
