Directed by Juana Macias, ‘Sounds like Love’, is an upcoming Spanish Romantic comedy film, with a screenplay by Laura Sarmiento. The film is an adaptation of the 2018 novel duology ‘Caciones y Recuerdos’ by Elisabet Benavent.
Sounds Like Love Plot
30-year-old Maca, a clumsy woman, lives in Madrid, is bound with a dominating and terrible fashion influencer, and all her talent and skills are wasted, spending most of her time with a man with whom she never shares an emotional bond. It is only because of her two loveable friends, Jimena and Adriana that Maca makes the most of life and happiness, despite her mind baffling career, making almost everything a piece of cake.
It is after the appearance of her ex, Leo, she loses all her strength. She flips and her world turns upside down. Leo was her life’s biggest mistake, he broke her heart into pieces, devalued her self-esteem, and made her lose faith in men.
Maca had somehow forgotten about him, but now she has to face this challenge and accept that he will be there in her life and face all those emotions that she had locked in a box for so long. She has to now deal with the ugly memories that flash in front of her eyes every second.
Netflix’s original story read, “Just as Maca’s career reaches an inflection point, the enigmatic ex who broke her heart reappears in Madrid, and she turns to her friends for support.”
