Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is the upcoming computer-animated superhero film. It is backed by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation with the collaboration of Marvel Entertainment.
It serves as a sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The sequel is set in a shared multiverse of alternate universes named the “Spider-Verse”. It is based on Marvel Comics and produced by Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Christina Steinberg.
It was announced in Nov 2019 and the work on animation began in June 2020. It is also reported, that a third film titled, ” Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” is also on the way and a female-centered spin-off movie is also in development.
Release Date in India
Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse will be released in India on 2 June 2023 same day as the U.S. release. It will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu in India.

Star Cast of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
The voice cast includes Shameik Moore who is voicing the character Spider-Man alias Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld voicing Spider-Woman/Gwen Stacy, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker/Spider-Man, other casts members are Oscar Isaac, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Issa Rae, Jason Schwartzman, and Daniel Kaluuya.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse OTT Release
The film was primarily scheduled to be released on 8 April 2022 but was pushed back to Oct 7 in the wake of covid-19 pandemic and then moved to June 2023. The theatrical release date of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is 2 June 2023.
Netflix has bagged the Pay 1 Window streaming rights deal with Sony, therefore the post-theatrical OTT rights of the movie are owned by Netflix. It is expected to be made available on the platform after a one-month theatrical release.

It is directed by Joaquin Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, and the screenplay is written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miler, and David Callaham. Daniel Pemberton gave the music and the distributors are Sony Pictures Releasing. The trailer of the movie will arrive on Dec 14 at 9 AM Pacific Time.
