Biographical films are the most loved segments of the film industry. Most people love to watch real-life stories that inspire them instead of fictional ones. Now, another biopic titled Sri is in making in Bollywood and this time not on any sports person or actor, but on the life of young industrialist and founder of Bollant industries, Srikant Bholla.
Backed by Bhushan Kumar’s banner T-Series in association with Nidh Parmar Hiranandani’s Chalk N’ Cheese Film Production Lip, the film is directed by Tushar Hiranandani of “Saand Ki Aankh” fame and the main actor himself, Srikant Bholla.
Sri Star Cast
Rajkummar Rao, one of Bollywood’s most promising and versatile actors, will play Srikant Bholla in the film.The National Award-winning actor is known for his critically acclaimed performances in movies like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shahid, Sree, Aligarh, and many others.
His recent release is “Monica, O My Darling“, which was released on November 11, 2022, directly on Netflix and garnered positive reviews from viewers as well as critics. Apart from this, actors who will feature in pivotal roles in the film are Alifa Furniturewala of “Jawani Jaaneman” fame, Jyothika, and actor Sharad Kelkar.
The production of the film has started, and the makers have shared a couple of pictures from its muhurat ceremony on social media.

About the Film
The Tushar Hiranandani directorial will depict the life journey of visually impaired industrialist Srikant Bholla, who hails from a small village in Andhra Pradesh. He was the first international blind student to study Management Science at one of the world’s top universities, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States.
The 31-year-old industrialist was born on July 7, 1991, into a family that was mainly dependent on farming. At such a young age, he has reached heights of success. He co-founded the Samanvai Center for Children with Multiple Disabilities in 2011.
In 2012, he started Bollant Industries, a company that manufactures areca based products. In April 2017, he was named by Forbes Magazine in its list of 30 under 30 across all of Asia, one of the only three Indians on that list.
He will be co-directing the film based on him, whereas master of romance and prolific Punjabi film director Jagdeep Sindhu has donned the writer’s hat for the film.
