Finally, almost five years after her death, her husband has opened up and shared that her death was not natural. Boney Kapoor, who had previously maintained silence regarding the tragic loss of his wife and actor, Sridevi, has now opened up about her demise for the first time.
Sridevi, who was an A-list actress, got married to Boney Kapoor on June 2, 1996. Together, they had two beautiful daughters named Khushi and Janhvi. Both of Sridevi’s daughters are walking in her footsteps, and Janhvi Kapoor, who made her debut with Dhadak, is quite successful in Bollywood today.
On the other hand, Sridevi’s younger daughter, Khushi, is all set to make her debut with the movie Archies, which will be released on Netflix. Now, ahead of Khushi Kapoor’s debut, Boney Kapoor has revealed Sri Devi’s death reason.
Sridevi’s Death Reason
Sridevi’s husband, Bony Kapoor, did an interview with The New Indian in which he revealed that Sridevi’s demise was not a “natural” death but rather “accidental”. Boney said, It was not a natural death; it was an accidental death.
He added that he had decided not to speak about it because he had spoken about it for almost 24 or 48 hours together when he was being investigated and interrogated. He said he went through all the tests, including the lie detector and other tests.
Was Sridevi Desperate to Look Good?
In the interview, Boney Kapoor revealed that Sri Devi used to follow extreme diets without salt. These diets created an adverse effect on her health, due to which she was prone to blackouts.
Boney Kapoor said Sridevi used to starve herself to maintain her weight. He said she wanted to look good and wanted to be in good shape, so that on-screen, she looks good. He also revealed that Sridevi had had blackouts numerous times even before she was married to him.
Boney Kapoor also revealed that Sridevi has a Blood pressure problem. He also said he was aware of her dietary preferences and urged doctors to advise her to include salt in her diet, but she did not take the matter seriously.
