He entered as a star kid in Hindi cinema but made his own name besides his father’s popularity, through the films like Darr (1993), Jeet (1996), Ghatak: Lethal (1996), Ziddi (1997), Border (1997), Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001), etc.
His stardom was at its peak during 1990-2000, his two movies Ghayal (1990) and Damini (1993) won national awards at that time. The actor debuted through Betaab (1983) and received a nomination in the Filmfare Awards in the category of Best Actor.
After 3 unnoticed films, Sunny Deol made his identity as an action hero through Arjun (1985) and delivered back-to-back hits Dacait (1987) & Yateem (1988), Rajkumar Santoshi directorial Ghayal (1990) gained him mass popularity across India, so much so that it got the national award for the film.

Gadar 2 is the sequel to the 2001 blockbuster romantic period Gadar. The star cast is the same Sunny Deol, Ameesh Patel & Director’s son Utkarsh Sharma, and newcomer Simrat Kaur in key roles.
Gadar 2 is successfully running at the Box Office, despite tough competition with OMG 2 and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani Gadar 2 becomes the second 500-crore Bollywood film after Pathaan.

Sunny Deol will play a cop in this suspicious thriller film, Nothing is officially announced yet about this film, will be a Hindi remake of a Malayalam hit.
4- Apne 2
Along with Sunny his Dad Dharmendra and brother Bobby Deol will also be going to share the screen with him in this project. The film was to release this Diwali but its production got halted due to the Covid pandemic. Apparently, from March 2022, the shooting of the film will be restarted and it will feature on the big screen by next Diwali.

In this film, Sunny will share the screen with his father and brother Dharmendra and Bobby. Sangeeth Sivan is the director of the film, who mostly works in Malayalam and Hindi cinema.
He is the director of the commercially hit Yamal Pagla Deewana 2. Actor Saif Ali Khan’s mom Sharmila Tagore will also be featured in the movie. It will be a comedy genre film.
