Written and directed by Girish AD, Super Sharanya is a Malayalam coming-of-age drama film that was released in theaters on January 7 this year and received a positive response from the audience as well as critics.
It was produced by Shebin Backer under his banner Shebin Backer Productions along with Stuck Cows. Director and writer of the film Girish AD is also the co-producer and Rajesh Menon is the production executive.
If we talk about technical work, cinematography and editing are handled by Sajith Purushan and Akash Joseph Varghese respectively while the film has music as well as background score by Justin Varghese and lyrics by Suhail Koya.
Super Sharanya OTT Release Date
After hitting big screens on 7th January 2022, the film is all set to have its post-theatrical digital release next week. The makers of the movie have confirmed that the film will stream on India’s popular OTT streaming channel Zee5.
It will stream from Friday, 11 March 2022 on the platform. So it is the best opportunity for those who somehow couldn’t manage to watch it in cinemas, to enjoy this campus drama film at your home.
Earlier, the most exciting trailer of the film was released on December 27 last year. The film was made with an estimated budget of Rs. 5 Cr. and received an amazing response from the moviegoers.
Owing to the amazing storyline and great performance by its star cast, the film become a blockbuster and collected a huge amount of Rs. 23 Crore.

Super Sharanya Star Cast
This romantic coming-of-age drama has an amazing star cast with 2019 “Thanneer Mathan Dinangal” fame Anaswara Rajan playing the titular role as Sharanya Vasudevan aka Super Sharanya, a shy and small-town girl, hails from a small village of Palakkad.
Along with Anaswara, Mamitha Baiju, Arjun Ashokan and Naslen K. Gafoor are playing the key roles. The film also stars Vineth Vineeth Vishwam, Sajin Cherukayil, Vineeth Vasuvevan, Varun Dhara, Antony Varghese (cameo appearance), Manikandan Pattambi, Bindhu Panicker, and others in supporting roles.
Plot of the Film
The whole story of the film revolves around a small-town girl Sharanya, who is struggling to adjust in her college because she is not familiar with the atmosphere of the college and always finds reasons to go back to her village in Palakkad.
The interesting and engaging part of the movie is Sharanya’s coming to take admission in a college and her interaction with hostel mates. The film will perfectly depict the story of how deal with the people in the college and how she evades the unwanted love interests in the college.
