The Hindi version of the Tamil superhit Soorarai Pottru has been making headlines in recent months, with numerous prominent stars said to be interested in the main part. It has now been revealed that Akshay Kumar would play the lead role in the remake alongside actor Radhika Madan.
The actor confirmed the shooting had begun, sharing a video on instagram. The film’s director Sudha Kongara and Akshay Kumar may be seen observing as Radhika Madan breaks the ceremonial coconut before the photography begins.
Akshay Kumar asks fans for Title suggestions
Making his social media followers a part of the process, Akshay Kumar called for suggestions for the film’s title, stating that they had not settled on a name yet.
Sharing a video on instagram, Akshay Kumar informed that they have started shooting the film but it is yet to be titled. He further says that the film is about their dream and power and ends requesting for titles and best wishes of his fans.
Suriya’s cameo confirmed
Suriya, original Tamil movie Soorarai Pottru actor stated that he would appear in the Hindi version of Superhit ‘Soorarai Pottru.’ On social media, he shared the news with his followers by posting a picture with lead actor Akshay Kumar.
In a picture shared by Suriya, he himself is dressed dapperly in a blue shirt and pants while Akshay is seen in black shirt and sunglasses, fans go crazy over this collaboration, wish the same energy in the role as Suriya looted limelight by playing Rolex in latest hit ‘Vikram‘ of Kamal Haasan.
Akshay too shared a post on his twitter and instagram handle saying “Thank you brother” and stating that he is loving every moment shooting a remake of an inspirational story like Soorarai Pottru”.
